I think the best type of government is a federal government. A federal government is a form of government in which power is shared between a central government and state and local governments.
I think this is the best type of government because one government cannot have too much power. The power is divided. If the power was not divided, then the central government could have too much power and have the people do whatever they want them to do.
This is the right government also because the sovereign people decide how to delegate their authority (We the People, 149). A federal government is better than a confederacy. A confederacy is a political organization in which the sovereign states combine for specified purposes.
A federal system is also better than a unitary system. A unitary system is a central form of government in which states exercise only those powers delegated to them.
In conclusion, I think a federal system is the best type of government. A federal system is better than a confederacy and a unitary system.
There are three types of government. There are many similarities and differences between all three. They are unitary government, a confederation, and a federal government. They all share something in common.
A unitary government is where the central government controls the state and local governments. From the central government comes power of state and local government. From that the government is a lot more stronger and powerful than the state and local governments.
After the war against the British the colonists are weakened. They created the Articles of Confederation out of fear of a too strong central government. Though the Articles worked for awhile the lack of central government diminished them. They Framers got together and tried to create a government that wouldn't make the same mistakes the Articles did. They created a government called federalism. This was the bet choice because it had balanced power between national and state governments.
This government was strong and it wasn't likely to turn into a dictatorship. There were however other options for the new government. The articles of Confederation seemed like the savior for the colonists. It seemed to solve the problem of too much power in any one place and saved them from the British dictatorship. However the Articles started to cause problems and the Framers had to change it.
There also was the unitary form of government. It was one of the most popular forms of government and was the runner up for federalism. If something went wrong this would become our government and some people wanted this. The unitary system seemed all good and perfect but there was one problem; it didn't protect people's rights and made everyone vulnerable.
The federalism government had a balanced government with checks and balances so each branch could check each other if needed. The government was perfectly balanced and had the right amount of central government and had a low chance of becoming a dictatorship they had with Great Britan. It provided for people by protecting their natural rights including life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Federalism was the best government because it protected people's rights unlike unitary and you would probaly want a nice peaceful government.
Through the world there are many different kinds of government that are effective in different ways. There are some that focus on a weak central government, a Confederacy; others that focus on a strong central government, a unitary government, and some that are natural that are in the middle of both, also known as federalism. Each of these governments has similar similarities and differences that dramatically affect the lives of the people that live under these different governments.
A confederacy is a group of separate states that are joined loosely. This means that the states are still considered to be part of a bigger nation but the nation has some or hardly any control over them. The states can create there own constitution, laws, and regulate there own trade but the nation couldn’t intervene with any of these aspects. This means that the states could approve of any law with out any higher approval. Basically, the states have all the power in the government.
“A unitary state is a state whose three organs of state are governed constitutionally as one single unit” as said by wikipedia.com. This basically says that a unitary government is a group of states are joined and are governed the same under the exact same constitution. With this type of government, there is a strong national government and everyone gets governed the same. Also with this kind of government, a lot of power is vested into the rule of this government and it is easy for them to rule with absolute power.
Within a federal system, or federalism, the sovereign, the highest rank of authorities, decided how to delegate their authority. Basically, they decided how to separate power. For example, the United States of America separates their power b between the nation, the states, and the people. A federalist government allows the leaders to separate power the way they want it too but the leaders can delegate their powers in ways that is not fair to everyone.
To me, the government that I think is the most logical is a federal system type of government. It is in between a unitary and confederacy type of government and under an intelligent ruler, it can be very promising to a nation. As the Constitution of the United States, also a government under the federal system, starts with “We the people of the united states…” it’s just not one person ruling, it is a bunch.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if the government you have today was to change? What if the government you have now was turned into another government, like a confederation or a unitary government. Well, I believe that federalism is more useful because it is a combination of unitary government and confederacy, except all the powers are shared and divided.
The definition of federalism is a form of government in which power is divided and shared between a central government and state local governments (We the People 306). The definition of unitary government from We the People page 315 is a centralized form of government in which states or local governments exercise only those powers delegated to them by the central or national government. Finally, the definition of confederacy is a form of political organization in which the sovereign states combine for certain specified proposes such as defense.
Federalism is better than a unitary government because its has the same aspects as a unitary government but as an added bonus in a federalism you also get more than one type of government because you also have parts of a confederation. One example is that in a unitary government central government is the main person, but in a federalism you can have that but the powers are also shared mostly with a local or state government. Why would you want to have one government when you could have two?
Federalism is better than a confederation because in a confederation states are separate from each other and have there own government. If you actually think about it. couldn’t states go to war because they might team up with other states because in a confederation you don’t have to stay together forever, you could break up at anytime. Think about this; what if the bigger states band together and try to take over the smaller states, wont that cause a war. Now tell me, would you really want a war among our own country. Well, the great thing about federalism is that can’t happen because all the states have the many laws that are the same through out the U.S but states can still make laws about certain things that wouldn’t be the same in other states because they still got to make there own laws but can still have the reassurance that no one will try to take over.
In conclusion, I believe that a federalism is the better government and that it totally beats unitary and confederation because it’s a combination of both.

From my point of view, federalism is the best kind of government because the people have the most power in the whole government. The people decide on the laws and who interprets them as president and members of congress, senate… it grants the people a sovereignty of their country that is the most efficient way to grant the peoples needs of government.
In a federal system people have power over their government. The people decide on all the heads of office… In a unitary system is when the central government has all the power in the country. It controls the power of the state and can take the power away at any time. In a confederation, the states have direct effect on the people. The states are independent and have their own set of laws apart from the central governments.
Federalism is better than a unitary system because in a federal system the people have near direct control while in a unitary system the government has direct control over the people and the states. A unitary system resembles a monarchy in many ways in which the central government has direct control on the states and citizens.
Federalism is better than a confederation because the states have too much control over itself and the citizens only have control over their state, which takes away some of their power as citizens. To have a well working government the people must have sovereignty over the central government as well as their state to work well as a country.
In conclusion the federal system is a much more superior form of governing the people because it gives them a bigger meaning and purpose in the country. This allows them to let the central government govern the way that the people want.
The best form of government

The best Form of government is a federacy, because it is fare for all people within a country dived into states or provinces. One reason is that I prefer this system is that the state and central government have balanced power in the government. Second it is hard to for power hungry people to take control. Third it is very neutral compared to the other forms of government organization.
A federacy is the best form of government because the state and central government have equal power. Compared to a confederacy, in which has a very strong state government, it gives the nation some power in government, but not enough to take complete control. Also, compared to a unitary system, in which the national government has most of the power, a federacy has less of a chance of turning into a dictatorship, because in a federacy the government has more limitations.
Another reason that federalism is the way to go is because it is very hard to turn into a dictatorship. One reason is the fact that there are more limitations on the national government. Also, the people have a lot of say in government. Finally, the states have to agree on most issues, and the states are usually in favor of the people.
My final reason is that federalism is very neutral compared to the other forms. Compared to a unitary system where the central government is the strongest part, federalism has many limitations on both the state and national governments. Also, compared to a confederacy, where the states have the most power, a federal system ensures that the nation stays united unless the people want to separate from the union.
In conclusion, the best form of government is federal system. One reason is that it is more balanced than the other two. Second, it has less of a chance of becoming a dictatorship. Finally, it is very neutral and in the middle. And as John Quincy Adams, the son of President John Adams, stated: “But the indissoluble link of union between the people of the several States of this confederated nation is, after all, not in the RIGHT, but in the HEART. If the day should ever come (may Heaven avert it !) when the affections of the people of these States shall be alienated from each other, when the fraternal spirit shall give way to cold indifference, or collision of interests shall fester into hatred, the bonds of political association - will not long hold together parties no longer attracted by the magnetism of conciliated interests and kindly sympathies ; and far better will it be for the people of the disunited States to part in friendship with each other than to be held together by constraint. Then will be the time for reverting to the precedents which occurred at the formation and adoption of the Constitution, to form again a more perfect Union, by dissolving that which could no longer bind, and to leave the separated parts to be reunited by the law of political gravitation to the center.”

After being constrained under the British tyranny, the colonists decided they needed to run the states properly. Due to their fear of a strong government, they created the Articles of Confederation. However, their fear turned out to ruin them through lack of government. When the framers met they had a choice to make, they had to create a government that wouldn't send them into the same trouble the other ones had. The choice of federalism was the right one to make, it divides powers between the national and state governments to create a just form of government; what they needed in those dark times.
Wouldn't you want a strong government, one that had a slim chance of over powering you? I know everyone would want it. On the other hand there was more then one form of government in the pool of options. Let's start at the beginning, at the articles of Articles of Confederation. The Articles were created in by the Continental Congress in 1777 and approved by the 13 states to be put into effect in 1781. This firm league of friendship among the states seemed like the answer to all their problems, or was it? The fear of a strong government was so great that a problematic weak one was formed in it's place. The confederation was capable of making war, negotiating diplomatic agreements, and resolving issues regarding the western territories; it could not mint coins, couldn't borrow money, whether inside or outside the United States (wikipedia). Eventually problems, like Shay's Rebellion came to act and the framers needed to solve the problem.
Another popular form of government was a Unitary System, in which a central government would control the state and local governments. The central government would be much more powerful. This government would work in a large place such as the states, unlike the federalism which some claimed to be to complex. There is one problematic flaw in this plan: unlike federalism, the unitary system didn't account for all the people's rights as well as protect them. They are wouldn't be protecting our unalienable rights! Our Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness wouldn't be protected! Do we really want this, some government that wouldn't protect our rights? I think not!
Under federalism power is divided into branches with checks and balances, thus eliminating the fear of a corrupt government. Some people believe that it wouldn't be good in a large place, but look how it's worked the the good years of our history in which we flourished. States and national governments share the power, dividing the responsibilities. Both have exclusive powers unique to each of them for example: states have the power to establish local governments and provide for public health and safety, unlike the government which can make laws necessary to enforce the Constitution and regulate commerce between states and international trade. This balance of responsibilities creates a stable government.
The framers, some of the most well known people, believed in this. We shouldn't doubt their wisdom, after all what would we be without them? I believe that this is the right form of government for the United States! Federalism was the answer to all the colonists problems. If it was so bad, then why haven't we disbanded it like the articles? Let the framer's voices and words of wisdom lead us to happier times through this government, and be glad we don't have a dictatorship or monarchy!
In my opinion federalism is the best type of government. I think this because in a federal government the sovereign decide how to present their authority to the people but they have to allow the people to their rights life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
In a federal government it is mostly about the people, they choose the offices and seats of power in the government, in a federal government it is important to listen to the people and take constructive criticism from their ideas.
In a confederation each state has their own laws apart from other states, in other words one state might have a completely different set of laws than another. In a unitary system of government the central government controls most things and the states do not have as much power like a confederation does.
The problem with a confederation is that each state can get to separated from each other when they need to work together to solve problems and in a unitary government the problem is the central government has to much power and all the states would not have enough power to improve their state… remember not all states are the same some bigger and some smaller so this type of government wouldn’t work very well among the people.
I think out of all three of these governments a federal government is the best position for the United States to be in. The federal government regulates power through all states and gives the people more power.
Michael Troyan
After the war against the British the colonists were weakened. They created the Articles of Confederation to prevent a strong central government. Though the Articles worked for a good amount of time till the lack of central government made them weaker. The Framers got together and tried to create a government that wouldn't make the same mistakes the Articles of confederation did. They created their own federal government. This was their best choice because it had balanced power between national and state governments.
The definition of federalism is a form of government in which power is divided and shared between a central government and state governments. The definition of unitary government is a centralized form of government in which states or state governments exercise only powers delegated to them by the central or national government. The definition of confederacy is a form of political organization in which the sovereign states combine for certain specified proposes such as defense.
Federalism is better than a unitary government because it has the same ideas as a unitary government but also has extra things, in federalism you also get more than one type of government because you also have parts of a confederation. For example in a unitary government central government is the main idea, but in a federal government you can have that and the powers are also shared mostly with a local or state government. Federalism is better than a confederational government because in a confederation states are separate from each other and have there own government. If you actually think about it. Any states could go to war and team up against any other states even though they all worked together to defeat the British. Well, the best thing about federalism is that this kind of stuff cant happen because all the states have the many laws that are the same through out the U.S and yet states can still make laws about certain subjects that wouldn’t have thesame affect in other states because they would make there own laws but can still have the reassurance that no one will try to take over.
I believe that a federal government is the better government and that it has many more benifits than a unitary or confederation government because its a combination of both.
I think that a federal system government would act better than unitary government or a confederacy. With the states only have power that is delegated to them then there would be less of a chance a dictatorship, because there would be a strong central government.
When the Framers were creating the constitution they decided to delegate the power of the people to more than one government. They thought some powers should be shared by the state and national governments, the rest of the powers or rights were kept by the people. (We the People 149). Some of the powers that the people delegated to the federal, or national government were the power to create post offices, regulate interstate and foreign trade, declare and conduct war, and create a national currency.
Compared to a federal government, a unitary government could easily turn into a dictatorship. Since power can be taken away from the states at any time, you could have someone who has complete control of the military force of that country threaten the central government to take away the states power.
If you compare a confederacy to a federal government. All you have to do is go back and see what went wrong with the articles of confederation, and how it caused Shays Rebellion. Congress became too weak and the states ended up having too much power and did not listen to Congress.
In conclusion a unity government is a strong based government to have. If you used this government within your own country you would have a strong central based government and equal power among states, which in state of emergencies could be taken away at any time. So there would less of a chance of a dictatorship, making your country safer.

Federalism is the balance between a confederacy and a unitary government. Unlike its opposing types of governments, a federal system creates a balance between a national government with an excess amount of power, and states that are so independent, they are basically divided into separate nations.
According to We the People, federalism is “. . .a form of government in which power is divided and shared between a central government and state and local governments” (306). This simply means that power is split up and shared among a central government and state governments, who intern, will give power to the people, which is good. But there is such as too much of a good thing. Too much power to the states, or the people, can turn the government into a Confederacy. A Confederacy is a form of government in which the states are loosely joined by a very weak central government. A Confederacy gives much independence to the states individually, making it hard to have a confederation with a big nation. Another type of government is a unitary government. This is when there is a strong central or national government that controls the state’s individual powers and governments.
A federal government is a more effective government than a confederacy for many reasons. The main reason is that under a confederacy, as said before, the states are loosely joined and very independent. But, they can also pull out of the confederation or union at any time. With this is in mind, having a confederacy can create issues with maintaining a stable, structured nation and government when any time something doesn’t go their way, a state can just become separated. Also, in a confederate type of government, it can be quite difficult to have elections, meetings, or things of that matter because the states would each have a mini-government. This could work with a small-populated country because then, there wouldn’t be such a large amount of officers, cabinets, etc. However, the United States of America is one of the biggest nations in the world, and one of the reasons for altering the Articles of Confederation was for the plain fact that a weak government cannot have any power with such a large nation.
Under a unitary government, however, having a large nation is not the problem. The problem is having a nation with too strong of a central government. One of the big issues with having a strong central government is the fear of turning into a dictatorship. A dictatorship is a form of government where 1 person or group controls just about everything. A dictatorship is quite different from a monarchy because the dictator doesn’t have to be an heir, he can just declare his power. Under a unitary government, the local/state governments are only given the powers in which the central government endows them. This creates a sort of bad vibe, where the people are always in fear of losing all of what little power they have. A federal government, however has a strong central government, but also strong state governments.
Federalism is a pretty fair evenness between a confederation or a unitary government; with just enough power to have a strong national government, but just enough to have state power too. Right now, federalism is the best to offer(why else would the United States of America have it for over 200 years), and a federal government is the way to stay because it is the perfect balance.

I think Federal system is the best system of government. Because if the state, local, and central government share the power, overthrowing country won't happen, and citizen will think that is fair and satisfy about the government.
If one branch, or house get too much power, they will try to overthrow the country, and the system will be dictatorship. Unlike unitary system of government, federal system of government separate their power.
The federal system of government can do the work really quick. Because they shares the power and they do the work together .They always check and balance. So if local government made law, the state will check first and fix it. Then the central government, which is congress will check it again and find what is the problem of the law, and if it is necessary or not .Then if it is not necessary they won't make the law, but if that is necessary they will make the law and balance the law with other laws. ederalism is the best type of government because Federalism is a system of government in which a written constitution divides power between a central government and regional or sub-divisional governments. Federalism can be seen a compromise between the extreme concentration of power and a loose confederation of independent states for governing a variety of people usually in a large expanse of territory.

Federalism was an obtainable step in giving the citizens an influence while presenting authority with the opportunity to be assertive. This government, which was originally drafted during the Virginia Plan, proved itself as an effective method of rule. This government was a superior one to Unitary and Confederation. The primary cause was its shared powers. The people and the government, and the states and the nation, all had the ability to make decisions.
Unitary government was a defective tactic of rule. The central government represents the entire majority of the nation, without giving the rest of the branches of government a chance to speak up. There would be a consistent pattern as far as the way the government would react every time a problem was presented. It would be like having a republican president for a gazillion years to come. We need a balanced separation of government o their are various opinions that can solve the problems together.
A confederation government is flawed as well, just not to the extent of the unitary government. Many people of high authority supported the idea of independent states being their own nations. They would have their own government and their own laws. But without a central and main government their would be problems. Each state cant tackle the task of being a separate nation. Many southern states declared their separation before Abraham Lincoln even was inaugarated. So this would have been a considerable alternative but still probably would not have been great in the long term.
I have come to the conclusion that the Federalism is the best and most appropriate type of government. It is a combination of the other two and gives everyone a chance t have a voice. To the states, there is really no singe are of government in charge. For the government, they are not the only ones to blame in times of crisis, because the states have their own government as well. Federalsim is a well organized proposal that is best for our country.
The constitution states, " We the People of the United States" (1). The people have the oppurtunity to rule. The people can work together with the government. The people can help the nation as much as anyone or anything else can. We the People.
As we all know how a confederacy system worked out with the Articles of Confederation, and did not work out the best, and for a unitary system our country might be ruled by a dictator and we do not want that in our country right? So we should and all ways have a Federal System.
The reason i like the Federal out of all of the others is because all of the power is divided to the state, central, and local government. So all of not one branch can not over rule any of other branches because they have checks and balances and if there was no checks and balances one branch might take over by being a dictator.
The Federal System is better than a confederacy system because, well lets look at an example shall we. The Articles of Confederation, well they did not work out so good because they gave all of the power to the states even though that is what a Confederacy does I mean the Congress had no power what so ever. A Confederacy is not the way to go if you want a a great government.
A Unitary system will not be so great because it would end up like a dictatorship because all of the power only the national or central government will have power and none of the other branches. Nobody wants to have a dictatorship or this country would not really be in chaos.
In conclusion a Federal system is way better than a Confederacy, or an unitary system. Unless you people like having a Dictator or a few pieces of paper letting the states do what ever they want then that your opinion, but to me a Federal system is the way to go.

I think that the best type of government is a federal government because it shares powers beetween both national government and state government.
Federalism is better than a confederation because in a confederation the people have only control over there state. They dont have any power over the central government, i think that is wrong because that takes away peoples rights.
Federalism is better than unitary system because a unitary system has almost complete control over the states and the people. This ressembles a monarchy in many ways and we dont want that.
In conclusion a federal system is better than anyothers because it protects peoples rights unlike unitary and confederation.
Out of Federalism, Confederacy, and Unitary Government, I believe that Federalism is the best. Not only is it equal to all powers, but it is what we have here in America today. What I mean by saying that it has equal powers is that the states, federal, and the people all have powers.
A reason why I don't pick Confederation is because "The United States under the Articles of Confederation had a confederate form of government" (We The People 148). And did the Articles of Confederation and the Confederacy work? No! So, since the Articles of Confederation didn't work then, they will not work now.
I favor federalism because it is a mix of both confederacy, which has a week central government, and unitary, which has a strong central government. so for the people who like confederacy or unitary government, federalism is better because it is in between both forms of government.
A unitary system has way too much power. They give too much power to the central government. I'm not saying that central government is bad. Too little, like a confederacy, wouldn't be good either. But a balanced central government is great. And that puts us right at federalism.
To conclude, federalism is better than both confederacy and unitary government because it is pretty much a mix of both of these governments. It doesn't have too much power, nor too little. Therefore, federalism is overall the best form of the three governments.
Hunter Linekin
Have you ever wondered what types of government we used to have? Well I am here to tell you about the tree main ones, unitary, confederacy, and federal. I believe that federal government is the best kind of government because it splits up the power and does not depend on one central authority.
In a Unitary government one central the power is held by one central authorirty.. I think this is bad because then this central authority has to make all of the decisions for everyone.
In a confederacy a lot of colonies join together to make one country and one government. This can be confusing because it is multiply colonies coming together and making one government which can be confusing because you are making a government.
In a federal government, the power is split up between the national government and local or state government. I think this is the way to do it because the power is split up so no one is power hungry and no government has to be made.
As I stated before I think that federal is the better government because the power is split up and that makes it easier because there are multiply people in charge of power so there are different people making laws than running the government, in other words does not depend on one central authority.
I think federal system is the best system of government. Because if the state, local, and central government share the power, overthrowing country won't happen, and citizen will think that is fair and satisfy about the government.

Then the central government, which is congress will check it again and find what is the problem of the law, and if it is necessary or not .Then if it is not necessary they won't make the law, but if that is necessary they will make the law and balance the law with other laws.

In this essay, I will tell you about the "Ratifying the U.S Constitution." There was a debate between both sides of the constitution; the Federalists and the Anti- Federalists. Federalists were the people who supported the ratifying of the U.S constitution. The Anti-Federalist were people who opposed the constitution.
Republican government is a type of government in which the citizens have the power to govern. The founders thought Republican government was the best form of government that they could create for themselves. Some benefits that the founders saw in a democracy were Representatives are elected to serve the common good. Representatives should not make laws to serve one person or group. They should make laws for the community. Mainly, Republican government is a government wiling to change for its peoples needs.
Strong central government is where, the North and South were arguing about the issue of slavery. Should it or should it not be allowed in the United States of America? The North's answer stated "There shall be not slaves". This group felt that the equality promised in the Declaration of Independence, included rights for African Americans. Therefore, slavery violated the promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. On the other hand, the South argued that they needed slaves to preform undesirable tasks required to keep their businesses and households profitable. The Southerners felt/believed that Africans where less than human, and thus property.
The individual rights were life, liberty, and nobility. They had the choice to own things that no one could take from them; like furniture, clothes, hand guns, and etc. Personally I think that individual rights can be sort of similar to basic/natural rights.
In June 1788, The Constitution was finally approved. It required 9 states approval, to make it official but they succeeded. In addition to the Constitution, a bill of rights was added. The Bill of rights included peoples rights to have freedom of religion, speech, press and many other things. The Federalists had won, and Anti-federalists had still gotten their opinion in the forming of the new government. So in all, everybody was satisfied and continues to be so even today.
